As a mother of 2 young homeschooled boys and wife to a supportive busy husband, juggling writing and reading ground me.     Our eldest son was diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder at the age of 6 while in Kindergarten at Public School.  We were fortunate to have met a wonderful Occupational Therapist, OT, who shared his knowledge with the same amount of excitement our child showed about being at the OT’s office.  Each office visit feed my need of knowledge and encouraged me to search for more information.  Our son also was able to feed his senses and we both leave better than when we entered- thanks John!

While my background is in medicine, and I tend to go where the blood is, neuro-development is just as fascinating.  My need to absorb the information comes from deep in my soul, keeping it there to mix with more information until I can breathe it out in expressive language to help others with similar needs for knowledge.

Currently working on SensoryFlow.com on-line magazine for sensory issues, book reviews, advocacy and keep up to date on all things sensory.

Please use the contact page or cat@sensoryflow.com for suggestions or to have me review your book, lecture or conference.  I would like to hear from you if you would like to be interviewed or have suggestions.

Our sons are still developing and somehow I have found more therapies than I ever knew existed.  Each one gives us more learning opportunities and a greater sense of who we as neurological beings are.  My search is to find the best way to give every child the opportunity to face the world of learning at their own potential; to let knowledge fly, learners must first grow strong wings.

I’ve come a long way to be normal, only to find I was living it all along.
